You may have questions or concerns before starting therapy. I understand that therapy is an investment in yourself, so it makes sense you'd want to meet me first.
Before we meet, I encourage you to consider:
- what do you really want from your counselling experience, to feel emotionally and/or physically better? to feel understood? to heal past trauma experiences?
- how much time to you have to devote to the process? Typically EMDR sessions are 60-90 minutes.
- are you able to meet virtually, with a reliable internet connection and device, and have a space where your counselling session can be private?
- do you have supportive people in your life? Trauma counselling can be emotionally difficult and it's important to have people who are there for you between counselling sessions.
